A mother was charged for brutally murdering her young son, right before she dumped his body into the Ohio River recently.
Brittany Gosney from Ohio was accused of carrying out the most abusive murder of her young son. The mother reportedly dragged him from behind her high speeding vehicle, while ending the vicious abuse by dumping his body into the Ohio River. Moreover, she even issued false reports of how her son had gone missing.
Young James Robert Hutchinson was just 6 years old at the time of his birth. And his own mother reported him as missing on Sunday morning. But little did cops know at that time that she was the culprit responsible for carrying out the heinous murder.
Reports mentioned how Ohio’s Middletown Police Chief said that many people offered their help with the search investigation. Moreover, when investigators questioned the young child’s 29-year-old mum and her 42-year-old boyfriend, the couple took that moment to confess to the tragic killing.
They talked about how he was killed just a few days earlier in the area of Preble County and was then brought back to Middletown as that is where the family’s residence is located. Then, they opted to dump his remains into the river.
Brittany Gosney was charged with murder while she and her boyfriend both received charges for abuse of a dead body as well as tampering with the case’s evidence.
On the other hand, the recent release of the court documents spoke about how the mum had taken her son to a park in Preble County. Her intention was solely to leave him there alone. However, as she attempted to drive away, the young child held on to the vehicle’s back, in an attempt to get back inside.
On that note, the mum drove away while dragging her 6-year-old son at the highest of speeds. When the mum returned back to the park, around 30 to 40 minutes later, she found young James lying in the center. He had suffered from serious injuries to his little head and soon died afterward.
She then placed his dead body into her vehicle and stored him in a bedroom upstairs. And the following day, she and her boyfriend dumped him into the Ohio River.
Currently, police are working alongside trained divers to search for young James’ body as the river is very high at the moment while being extra treacherous too.
