A 23-year old British mother was found dead in her room after dying in her sleep during a family trip.
Amy Connor, a 23-year-old from Coleraine in Northern Ireland, was staying at the Ibiza Rockets Hotel in the resort of San Antonio with family, where she was found dead by her 26-year-old sister Toni.
This tragedy happened on August 20, when both sisters went back to their room after sunbathing. Amy’s sister Toni said that after spending time in the pool, they came back to their room.
Amy got into the shower, and then she went to bed to sleep. She said when Amy went for the bath while she was in the balcony snacking and chilling. But after a while, when she went back inside, she found her sister dead in her bed.
She said that everything is so surreal, and it doesn’t make any sense to her.
Toni is in her second year studying journalism at Belfast University and has praised the staff at the hotel for their help and generosity.
Meanwhile, Spanish Police refused to say anything about the causes of Amy Connor’s death until an autopsy had gone ahead.
Toni described her sister Amy as a friendly and outgoing person. Toni said she has received almost 1,000 messages on her social media up till now, also people are sending cards, flowers to their house.
Amy left the daughter Kaliyah, as well as her three siblings, and parents Carol and Arthur behind.
Hundreds of Amy’s friends are saying their condolences on social media. One comment says that she knew Amy when she was a teenager and was always energetic.
One more friend wrote that Amy was the most beautiful soul, and she can’t believe that she is not here anymore. Amy’s mother, Carol, also wrote on the social media ‘My baby girl… Love you loads”.
