Montana joins hands with several other states after it recently called for bans on abortion after 20 weeks of gestation.
Local media outlets spoke about how Governor Greg Gianforte is in the middle of signing up to three bills into law that indirectly bans abortion access to pregnant citizens who have surpassed the 20-week gestation phase.
The 3 laws that will be included in the state’s law include HB-136 and Montana Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.
These will be reportedly signed by the Republican Governor, alongside the Hb-140.point 183 | This requires that a pregnant woman be granted the opportunity or right to view her active ultrasound , while listening to fetal heart tone, right before she goes in for her abortion surgery.point 342 |
On the other hand, HB-171 is another law that might be enrolled too.point 56 | This includes the providence of all drugs that induce abortion to pregnant women.point 125 | 1
Hb-171 is the crucial law that will actually prohibit doctors from blindly prescribing their patients with abortion-inducing medications, as revealed by Montana Public Radio recently.
The Governor of Montana voiced his full and absolute cooperation regarding this matter, especially for HB-136 when he addressed the state during his speech in the month of January this year.
Here, the Governor spoke about it important for each and every citizen to make wise decisions and protect all of the lives of those who are most vulnerable, which was unborn children. “I firmly believe that all life is precious and it must be protected,” he added.
Therefore, the Governor took this opportunity to urge the entire legislature to bring forward the act that protects all unborn children through abortions whenever citizens feel pain.
Other states that have been included in this plan include Tennessee, West Virginia, and Mississippi.
