A shiny metal monolith has been spotted on California’s Central Coast just a week after similar a similar structure was found in Utah.

The structure was spotted outside a small town of Atascadero, San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday, atop Pine mountain where dozens of local hikers rushed to the site to view it.

“The three-sided obelisk appeared to be made of stainless steel, 10-feet tall and 18 inches wide. The object was welded together at each corner, with rivets attaching the side panels to a likely steel frame inside,” the Atascadero News wrote.

Unlike its Utah sibling, the Californian monolith was apparently a little wobbly, and seemed to be easy to be knocked over.

While there was no visible evidence of how the object found its way on top of the mountain, a daily hiker named Ray Johnson confirmed that it was not there on Tuesday.

The City of Atascadero has not yet made any comments about the appearance of the mysterious structure, neither about its future.

This is the third sighting of the monolith after the first metal structure was in Utah on November 18, but its creator remains a mystery.

The pilot who first spotted the installation in Utah believed that it could be an artist’s installation, but many theorize that it could be either a movie stunt or the work of extraterrestrial life.

However, the first structure was taken down by unknown individuals, and told witnesses to “leave no trace.”

The second monolith was reportedly found in the mountains of Romania, near a well-known archeological site on November 26.

The 9-foot structure had also mysteriously vanished just four days after its sudden appearance.
