According to sources, 31-year-old Emma Jenkinson was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Hence, she began receiving treatment for brain cancer. And for that reason, doctors forced her to bring a stop to her chemotherapy. Recently, the mother of 4 passed away this weekend, leaving behind her 4 precious angels and husband too.
As a resident of Manchester in the UK, this woman suffered from the deleterious stage 4 of the tumor. Moreover, she previously beat that stage when she was just 24. Soon, cancer returned and that meant a return to her chemo treatment.
Up until March, she continued with her therapy. Determined as ever to conquer the deadly disease for the second time, she wanted to pursue her treatment. However, destiny had other plans for this mom of 4.
During the pandemic, doctors explained how they would need to forcibly stop her treatment. And since the pandemic was at a peak, authorities were trying their best to contain the spread. For a non-COVID patient like Emma, there would be a break in her chemo till the matter resolves.
By the month of May, you could clearly witness her health going downhill. She was not her usual self. She felt low quite often and would even lose balance and focus too. At the same time, her loved ones explained how she would even fall 15 to 20 times, that’s how bad it became.
Right after undergoing her tumor scan, doctors revealed some of the most heartbreaking news. Moreover, it meant that her cancer had spread. And that’s when doctors immediately put her back on chemotherapy. By the month of September, doctors confirmed how her chemo wasn’t working.
And just last week, her family revealed how she had died due to brain cancer. She leaves behind 4 kids, aged 11, 9,4, as well as 2 years. Therefore, this is another prime example of how the rippling effects of the pandemic are striking those other than the usual COVID-19 patients.
