Sources confirmed how Waylon, an adorable golden retriever breed, was just 13 when he passed away. Moreover, the 36-year-old paid a major tribute to one of her oldest pals via social media, last Thursday. She wrote a tragic caption explaining her devastation over the news.
As an avid lover of animals, she is renowned for her many pets. This includes several different kinds of rescue animals in her home. Together with her mom, she is the founder of the Muttnation Foundation, starting off in the year 2009. This foundation aims to help take care of animal shelters.
Miranda explains how she lost one of her major friends, calling him as old pal Waylon. The post was accompanied by a series of pictures that showcased Waylon through the different stages of his life.
The star also took to social media to explain how she found her old pal as a puppy, abandoned on the side of the road. Moreover, she expressed how the puppy was starving and freezing, almost to death. And that’s also when she revealed how she named Waylon, right after hearing tunes by Jessi Colter as well as Waylon Jennings. Hence, they were the real source of inspiration behind the names.
In the tribute, she also went on describing how the vet didn’t think little Waylon would survive as he didn’t appear to do too well.
Malnourished as well as dehydrated, she was worried about his health.
On the other hand, the celeb says that Waylon was like a rock to the family. They loved him all so much that he roamed around without any fences.Towards the end, the star singer expressed her gratefulness for having Waylon in her life. Above all, the fact that her husband Brendan McLoughlin spent time with him during his final moments is truly something she will always cherish.
