Therefore, authorities rushed to the spot and that’s when they found little Zariah lying dead inside. The suspected baby sitter was identified as 41-year-old Tammie Brooks who was responsible for babysitting the young child. Moreover, she was also responsible for dropping off the baby at her daycare too.
However, she chose to go to her workplace instead, leaving the young toddler inside the car, despite temperatures being at an all-time extreme.
In a recent Facebook post, the police mentioned a detailed description of the incident. Here, they wrote about how a child was left completely unattended inside the car seat for a few hours. And that’s when the nanny finally realized that the child was still inside, right after she ran a quick errand.
The babysitter was charged with abuse as well as the abandonment of the young baby, which ultimately led to her tragic death. Now, she is being held at the Detention Center of Hobbs County in New Mexico, until a judge just released her with an unsecured bond attached to her name.
The incident left her parents in absolute shock and devastation, who claim they waited for years before trying to have a baby. “I would never want to wish this type of pain on even my worst enemy,” mentioned the baby’s mother.
