Massive Explosion Rocks Texas As Train Carrying Oil Tankers Slams Into 18-Wheeler


A mega explosion rocked the area of central Texas recently when a train collided with a giant 18 wheeler truck this morning.

According to news outlets, the huge crash took place around 6:45 am, just outside a town called Cameron, which is situated near Highway 190. This is just one hour northeast of the city of Austin, confirmed authorities.

The giant train contained oil tankers which underwent a huge explosion upon the impact with the 18 wheeler. And that led to a massive fire which burned down at least one home, situated near the tracks, reported Cameron police.

Thankfully, the truck’s driver and the train’s conductor survived the major accident without sustaining any major injuries, confirmed reports.

Currently, the cause of the giant crash still remains unclear. On the other hand, Milam County’s Sheriff spoke about the update on the horrifying accident with investigations still taking place into how exactly the situation unfolded. The update came a few hours after the accident, around 10 am.

The sheriff commented on how the accident was first labeled as a ‘hazmat situation’ and that was because the huge train carried tonnes of hazardous materials.

Meanwhile, investigators confirmed how the vehicles with those particular materials remained unaffected upon the impact of the crash. He added it was all thanks to the ‘grace of God.’ Currently, teams are working at the crash site and are doing the best they can to help remove all of the materials situated near the giant blaze.

Moreover, officials estimate that about 13 to 15 train cars held petroleum, rocks, as well as coal, and they were all involved in the terrible accident.
