Mass shooting in Thailand: Thai Soldier Went On Shooting Rampage While Live Streaming on Facebook


2020 hasn’t been a good year so far.

First Australia’s wildfire, then Conora Virus Outbreak and now a mass shooting in Thailand :( This incident happened in the Thailand city of Korat, 155 miles from Thai capital Bangkok where a Thai soldier, Sergeant Major Jakrapanth Thomma came to a mall and opened fire that has killed more than 20 people so far.

It has been found that Sergeant Major Jakrapanth Thomma hijacked an army vehicle and killed a few soldiers before arriving at the mall and opening fires at the civilians. Until now more than 20 people have been killed and it is still unclear how many people were wounded.

The exact reason why he did that hasn’t been out yet but what was the most disturbing part is that the gunman lived streamed the whole incident on Facebook before his account was taken off.point 278 |

The sergeant also opened fire at a house, a Buddhist temple and an army base before arriving at the mall. He also posed a picture of himself, dressed as in the army uniform and holding a rifle that he stole from the compound’s arsenal.

He took to Facebook to share his murderous rampage and posted a photo of himself saying ”It is time to get excited.’ He also shared a few other posts saying ‘Should I surrender’ and ‘no one can escape death’.

There is chaos in the area as more than 12 people have been kept hostages by the gunman. People in the city are furious and mourning for the death of their loved ones and demanding that the culprit be caught as soon as possible.

The ministry spokesman Kongcheep Tantrawanit said, ‘We don’t know why he did this. It appears he went mad’ :( He further added that, ’20 people have been killed by the Sergent and it’s not known how many are still inside’.
