A man from Utah is going viral after performing an epic Christmas prank on his parents.
According to news sources, the man named Ryan expresses how he organized a holiday prank for his loved ones. And that’s when he decided to gift them an Ewan McGregor portrait as Obi-Wan Kenobi for Christmas.
Unfortunately, the prank was just too good to be true. And for that reason, his mum decided to hang it on the wall, assuming that it’s Jesus Christ in the picture.
Meanwhile, Ryan went on sharing a hilarious video of his prank on YouTube. The viral clip, which has since then been removed, showcased his parent’s busy unwrapping. On that note, they discover a giant frame which is a portrait of McGregor’s character in ‘Star Wars’- the movie.
In the same way, he also shared another picture of the same portrait, hanging in his mom’s room, on Reddit.
There, he captioned it with how he was worried about his mom’s reaction, upon finding out the truth. “I’ve made a giant mistake. Mom loves her Jesus Christ Christmas present and I’m not sure how I’ll exit from all of this, alive,” he exclaimed.
Ryan explained to media outlets how both of his parents are very religious. Moreover, they are also active members of Latter-Day Saints’ Church of Jesus Christ.
He also admits how they’re not very active movie watchers. “They’re more passive movie lovers, who probably saw me watching Star Wars as a child, but don’t remember the full movie themselves,” he explained.
Clearly, Ryan may have messed with the wrong people. But whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure. Social media enjoyed his hilarious take on the incident. The video certainly went viral, with people liking, sharing, and commenting by the masses.
Ryan also went on to explain how his home is full of Jesus paintings. Therefore, he thought it would be a nice prank to play on his parents.
