A clubbing attack held in Manhattan is under the investigation of the NYPD.
The victim was an older man of 78 years. He was assaulted with a brush that is used to clean barbeques.
The older adult was attacked at 393 West 49th St by a stranger. According to the police, the suspect is a male, and he hit the older adult on the back of his head with a wooden grill brush. Authorities said the victim’s residence was a few miles away from the crime scene.
The victim, who is identified as Francis Corrales Aguirre, 78, said that the guy kept walking without saying a word to him.
Corrales was left to crumble in pain along the road when the emergency medical staff saw him and rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital. Doctors said he has got a cranial fracture.
Authorities released the footage of the incident and the suspect on Friday. NYPD requests the public to help them reach the criminal.
NYPD has asked citizens to contact 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) if any useful detail is found.
Earlier in May 2020, a man was charged with assaulting an older adult on a residential street. The victim, in that case, too, was 78-year-old. His facial bones and neck bones got some severe fractures, and he was admitted to a trauma center.
Gardner police arrested the suspect from a wooden area. Authorities said the suspect is mentally challenged, and thus his identity was not revealed. The suspect was a teenager, and several complaints were registered against him.
The suspect is accused of harming several residents while naked and not in his senses. One of the victims who got attacked while walking with his daughter said he was scared to death.
The son of the victim said, “My father suffers from hearing loss; he left home to throw garbage when he was brutally beaten and knocked down to the ground.” The son was not happy with the court’s decision as the suspect was released on bail, but the poor father struggled for his recovery.
