Anna Duggar had been forced to stay by her husband, Josh Duggar’s side while numerous personal ordeals continued to put a strain on her sanity and her marriage.
That includes an ongoing legal battle against the Josh’s company, having been accused of purchasing a land through illegal means.
A man named Carl Echols, who bought a five-acre property for $17,500 from his cousin in 2006, accused Josh of acquiring the same property for a mere $1,000.
Echols produced court documents that prove he had been paying taxes for the same property for nearly 10 years.
For this incident, Echols sued Duggar’s company, ALB Investments, LLC, as well as his cousin for fraud and breach of contract.
Arkansas court papers revealed that his wife Anna was deposed on March 25, forcing her to talk to her lawyers and put on record everything she knows about her husband and the accusation against him.
However, it is not clear as to what Anna said in her testimony.
Josh is no longer a defendant from the case, but his company continues the battle against the lawsuit.
The case began in April, and was ordered to appear in court but he and his company had been known for ignoring various requirements associated with the lawsuit.
“The judge said a body attachment will be issued,” said Echols’ lawyer Kesha Chiappinelli.
“That means it’s like an arrest warrant because you must appear in court.”
“So far in the discovery process, we asked for the names of all of the members of ALB Investments,” Chiappinelli added.
“The attorney would not answer that question. He said Josh Duggar is the only member of ALB Investments who knew about this issue.”
This is not the first lawsuit Josh has been involved with, as he faced molestation charges, admitted to cheating on his wife and being addicted to porn.
