Kylie Jenner blew up the Internet on Sunday for reportedly asking fans to help fund her makeup artist’s GoFundMe after only donating $5,000 herself.
According to Forbes, the self-made billionaire earns around $1.2 million per Instagram post, and her recent call for donations attracted criticism.
Samuel Rauda, whose clientele includes Kylie, Bella Thorne, and Amelia Hamlin, was injured in an unspecified car accident last weekend and needed to raise $120,000 after undergoing major surgery on March 14.
As of this writing, the GoFundMe page has raised $98,663
The page also reveals that both Bella Thorne and Kylie Jenner contributed $5,000.
“Anyone who knows Samuel can say he is the most loving and kind person you could ever meet! He has a big heart and doesn’t hesitate to help someone in need. When you are having a rough day, he certainly knows how to make you laugh and turn that frown upside down,” the GoFundMe page states.
“At this moment, he needs our support and prayers more than ever.”
Jenner’s fans criticized her call for donation and pointed out her own substantial net worth, which, according to Forbes, is estimated at $700 million.
“Kylie Jenner on IG said swipe up to visit her friend’s Go Fund Me, and someone said why doesn’t she ‘GO FUND HIM’,” one Twitter user said.
“It’s the fact that Kylie Jenner owns purses that cost more than her close friends emergency brain surgery and she’s out here begging poor people to donate to his Go Fund Me page……… that doesn’t sit right with me,” said another.
The 23-year-old self-made billionaire owns a $72 million private jet, multiple properties and regularly shows off her $36 million Holmby Hills mansion on social media.
In October of last year, Jenner reportedly gave her daughter, Stormi, a $12,000 Hermes backpack for her first day of homeschooling.
