A worker from the famous fast-food chain KFC was recently fired for hurling abusive homophobic slurs at a gay couple.
The shocking incident took place on Wednesday night in Illinois, leaving many citizens baffled beyond belief. Moreover, news reports confirmed how the employee created a situation of extreme panic and fear when Joshua Garner and his partner Lee Walls entered the vicinity of the restaurant. As the couple attempted to pick up their order from the drive-thru section, they received a rather un-welcoming reaction.
All of a sudden, the KFC employee stared at the couple from head to toe, and after realizing that they were gay, the angry employee started attacking them with verbal abuse.
One of the members of the pair recorded the shocking incident on his phone, during which the male employee refers to the duo as ‘queers’ and ‘f–s.’ Right after that, Garner begins yelling at the employee from behind the camera, screaming, “You can’t do that! You can’t do that!”
Soon, the employee responds to Garner in the most daring manner with, “I don’t give a f*** if you all are gay or not.
This mother f****r looks queer so he can simply get the f*** out of here!” In response to the verbal slogans and abusive nature from the employee’s side, Garner warns the employee how he will soon lose his job.
“You are definitely going to lose your job, I hope you know that.”
Local media outlets identified the vile employee as Payton Burke.
Meanwhile, Garner explained to media sources how the entire incident left him baffled for words. “Both me and Walls are shaken up from the aftermath of what really went on,” he added. Moreover, the couple mentioned how they really hope that everyone involved in the incident, including the restaurant’s manager, gets fired.
“It was like a shot to the heart, like a bullet to the heart,” the duo added. “It was like we couldn’t say anything.”
KFC announced on Thursday how they immediately fired the employee involved while publicly apologizing for the shockingly bizarre incident.
