Kate was pictured alongside the Prince of Wales, following the Royal funeral of Prince Philip which was held yesterday. Here, the Duchess leaned in for a tender peck on the cheek of Charles as he appeared very emotional after walking behind his father’s casket.
39-year-old Kate then played the role of a peacemaker as she was observed allowing her husband William and his brother Prince Harry have their little moment after the ceremony was over. The news comes as the brothers have not come face to face with one another, ever since Meghan and Harry’s interview was aired recently.
This touching moment of the Duchess was called out and applauded by viewers around the world. Kate was quick to console her father in law who was also pictured tearful, leaving the procession. The Royal Funeral was undoubtedly a very emotional affair with many including the Queen shedding tears throughout the memorial service.
The British media was quick to capture all glimpses of the royal affair, including the exact moment when Kate comforted the Prince of Wales over his father’s loss. Moreover, she was also observed putting her hand over his shoulder too.
Soon, the Duchess leans over and kisses him on the cheek, in what is being described as a warm peck on the cheek, as the duo set out of the chapel’s entrance. After that, Kate was pictured walking alongside her husband and Prince Harry as the royals returned to Kensington Palace.
Another heartbreaking moment that caught the public’s attention is how the Queen sat all by herself in the Chapel. This was right before she returned back to Windsor Castle in her Bentley as COVID restrictions banned her from mingling with other members of the royal family.
