According to local media outlets, Harris was assigned a leading role to deal with the ongoing humanitarian crisis at the US-Mexico border as reports of a surge in migrants and dire conditions took center stage. Moreover, she was last observed at a news conference that took place about 11 days ago.

Her assigned duties relating to immigration involved looking over diplomatic efforts, keeping in mind the countries that fall in the Northern Triangle. Here, Kamala will do her best at making attempts towards fitting the nations into the border trend of administration while being in charge of delegating several foreign policies too.

On the other hand, the situation on the US-Mexico border has turned into a mega-crisis that has captured the nation’s attention, without a doubt. In addition, it has also raised a growing number of concerns relating to the issue of national security as well as stability of the current US immigration system in its entirety.

When Harris’s first appointment was announced by President Joe Biden, he spoke about how she would be the one in charge of returning migrants back to their own home countries. This was his plan to help curb the great surge of migrants that we see today.
