Gucci is one of those brands that have been doing everything they can to stand out and be simultaneously pushing the boundaries.
And just recently staked their claim in the next fashion trend — grass-stained jeans.
The Italian label has revealed its Fall/Winter collection and there’s denim that has an interesting stain of green on them.
While most would argue that they can get these stains for free during some fun in a park, Gucci wants people to pay a cheeky $800-$1200 for them.
“Channelling the Fall Winter 2020 collection’s grunge vibe, this wide-leg denim pant is crafted from organic cotton specifically treated for a stained-like, distressed effect,” the product description said.
“Gucci explores new takes on the cult fabric, reinterpreting it with different designs and washing techniques that blur the line between vintage and contemporary. ”
It’s still unclear how Gucci has managed to get this look but it’s clear they want you to pay hefty dollars for it. The grass-stained jeans are made from recycled material and come with a Gucci logo on the back pocket for anyone doubting how much money you have.
If you want other jeans to complete the set, you can pay $1400 for a similar grass stained-looking denim overalls.
The overalls come with oversized pockets, adjustable straps, and a few grass stains on the front.
It’s fair to say that some people have been left less than impressed by the idea with one Twitter user saying, ‘Wow… I have two pairs that I can sell now that its fashion’.
