Racine said the attorneys are striving to recover the funds that were misused by Trump’s team. Ivanka was interviewed on Tuesday by the Attorney General’s office in this regard.

A member of the Trump Organization, Alan Garten, said that Melania has nothing to do with the lawsuit as she did nothing more than introducing the parties to each other and requesting the hotel management to charge a fair market rate which they did.

However, later it was declared that the hotel charged at least twice the market rate. The former adviser of the First Lady, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, had shown her concern on the matter in 2016 and said that she is worried that they might face a problem in the future for paying such a high fee.

The committee has refused to admit the allegations and said they spent the money as per the law, and the prices are not underwritten in the audit.
