In one of the most heart-wrenching ordeals ever, a newborn infant was discovered with its umbilical cord still attached, amid piles of trash.
The abandoned child was wrapped in a bag, lying deserted inside a trash can.
According to Chinese media, the child still had its umbilical cord attached.
A delivery worker in the Ningxia region of northern China heard the abandoned infant crying. And that’s when he parked his motorbike on the side of the road to discover the most harrowing ordeal.
There was a naked infant in a plastic bag, in stable condition, situated beneath piles of filth. The man rushed him to a nearby hospital for medical examination. According to media reports, there is a police investigation underway.
Meanwhile, speculated reports suggested how the food delivery man was brought to light with the entire ordeal. Mr. Hai Yafeng was doing his routine food deliveries. After carrying out his duties, he was returning back home for his regular lunch break, Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Hai explains how he heard some strange noise coming from the piles of rubbish in a bin. He said that it sounded like a baby’s cry.
And that’s when he decided to record footage that clearly shows heaps and piles of garbage. All of the bins were overflowing with so much rubbish. And in the background, you can clearly hear the faint baby crying sound.

After digging deep inside the filth, he finally recovers the abandoned baby, wrapped inside a black colored plastic bag. And that’s exactly when he called up the authorities.
The Chinese delivery worker mentioned how the child looked like it was just recently born. Similarly, he estimated it to be about one to two hours back. It still had its umbilical cord attached, signaling how not too much time had elapsed from its delivery.
After arriving at the hospital, the child was in stable condition. Currently, there is a police investigation going on. zMoreover, authorities are trying to crack down the infant’s parents.
