What would you do if a school sent your young child home with sexually inappropriate homework?
Well, in case you’re wondering what we’re talking about, it’s a real story about one mum’s nightmare come true. 27-year-old Annette Farrington from Liverpool mentioned her feelings about her young daughter’s homework recently. According to her, she was left feeling disgusting as well as mortified when she laid eyes on the x-rated content in her child’s work.
The mum specified how the homework was related to an English lesson and is comprised of a suggestion that asked her to write on the subject of fingering. Moreover, the mum slammed the subject’s head for sending out such inappropriate and sexual-themed writing proposals for kids.
The fact that the worksheet urged students to think creatively was beyond the mum and that’s when she blasted school authorities for failing to keep a check on the type of content and curriculum.
Certainly, the mum’s reactions were justified as her daughter was too young to think, let alone understand the meaning of words like ‘fingering.
’According to local media outlets, the mum explained how her daughter was busy doing her homework as usual on the Holocaust. And then out of the blue, her daughter came running to her with an inquisitive mind. She asked her what the term fingering meant so that she could answer her homework.
At first, the mum thought she was the only one thinking wrong.
however, after speaking to other parents who felt the same way, the mom’s anger and fury grew. The writing worksheet came under the heading of ‘how somebody may feel.
’ And for example, there was a list of sexually-oriented terms. And fingering was a part of them as was stroked and fondled. As soon as the word spread to Liverpool’s deputy head, he immediately apologized for the matter and urged for an immediate investigation into the incident.
