Recently a post has taken the internet by storm where a woman seeks advice on whether she should get a divorce or no because her husband missed the baby’s birth as he was busy drinking alcohol with his friends before the due date.
Having a baby can be an extremely stressful time, which is why an expectant mum needs her husband’s support and care all the time. But recently a post is going viral where a mom, who recently has delivered a baby, is thinking to get a divorce.
The woman wrote in one of an online community, “We are a couple living abroad and have been married for a few years. We have a daughter who is 2-year-old and a son, who is born today”.
She adds, “My husband loves alcohol and spends most of the time with his friends. But since he hasn’t caused any problems to my daughter or me, so I didn’t take this matter seriously.
But one day, my husband’s friend came from Korea and he decided to have a ‘boys-night-out’ despite knowing that my water could break at any moment.”
The wife further says that it was around midnight when she called her husband but he didn’t pick up the phone.
“My husband came back home around 8 AM in the morning and he was looking too wasted to notice anything going around”.
The woman says that it was around lunchtime that her water broke. She rushed to wake him up but despite constant efforts, everything went in vain. She says “I was yelling at him to take me to the hospital and he was too drunk to listen to anything. At one moment, he opened his eyes and asked me to go to the hospital on my own and he’d be there very soon.”
Eventually, the wife called one of her friends, who drove her to the hospital where she delivered the baby in the absence of her husband.
“My husband promised me that no matter what, he’d be there for me. Guess what? He wasn’t. He finally turned up around 7 PM and I was so stressed out. I didn’t want him around and wouldn’t let him near me or the baby.”
“It was that time that I told him that I don’t want to be with him anymore. I told him that I am putting my kids’ and my health first and won’t let him see touch them anymore”
She went on to update the post on the online community seeking people’s advice on whether she should get a divorce or no.
