Police confirmed arresting a homeless man for attempting rape on a young teen from the Bronx district of NYC.
According to reports, the man crept into her room and tried to rape her on Saturday.
31-year-old Marlon Alvarez received a series of harrowing charges for his crimes. This includes attempting rape, sexual abuse, burglary, as well as forcibly touching the teen.
Moreover, the exact attack took place inside the young girl’s apartment, near Crotona’s Freeman Street. Police officers also revealed the gruesome details of how he entered the teen’s bedroom at 4:30 am in the night.
They explained how he laid over her as she slept. Soon, he attempted to pull her clothes off and that’s when she got up. She started screaming, causing her mother to wake up and be alert.
As a result of all the commotion, her mother chased the vile suspect outside of her premises. That is the point in time that she called the police.
Police officers confirmed how they identified Alvarez as a would-be rapist, during the early stage of their investigation. However, the wild and homeless man soon disappeared. Meanwhile, police explain how they spotting him during the early hours of Friday.
They identified the exact location as Bruckner Blvd, situated in the Mott Haven area. That is when police took him into custody. Today, his arraignment pends in Bronx’s Criminal Court.
How the homeless man entered the young teen’s bedroom during such late hours of the night is beyond believable for many. Above all, the way he smashed her windows to get inside and then laid upon her has many baffled.
It wouldn’t be wrong to term this as a major surprise attack that’s keeping other citizens in the area, on their toes. Thankfully, the incident didn’t cause any injury or harm to the girl. However, she is extremely shaken up by the gruesome ordeal.
