Star actor and famous voice-over artist, Harry Shearer, will no longer lend his voice for a Black Simpsons character.
The white actor shocked many with his abrupt decision of refusing to voice a Simpsons character of color. This isn’t the first time that the show has come under fire in terms of race and color issues.
Previously, the show announced how it would no longer use white actors to voice non-white characters. And now hearing that Harry Shearer will no longer represent Dr. Hibbert on the hit show is raising plenty of eyebrows.
According to local media reports, Harry Shearer refused to lend his vocals for the show, despite representing Dr. Hibbert for a while. Now, the show’s officials announced how he will be replaced by Keven Michael Richardson from ‘Bless the Harts’ in next week’s episode titled, ‘Wad Goals.’

However, Azaria continues to voice a wide array of other characters on the mega-hit show. Prominent examples include Moe and Chief Wiggum.
