A video showcasing how a black security guard violently punched a MAGA rioter outside the Capitol is going viral.
In the video, the enraged security guard punches a pro-Trump supporter outside the high-security building. As soon as the footage went viral, the woman’s own daughter publicly shamed her regarding the incident.
And now, the security guard is opening up like never before seen on why she acted in the way that she did. According to her, she says it was an act of self-defense. Therefore, she explains how she had no other choice than that. Now, she is getting slapped with charges of assault after the recent caught-on-film incident.
28-year-old Ashanti Smith went into the depth of Wednesday’s fiasco that shocked the nation’s capital. Moreover, she explains how hundreds of MAGA rioters descended in the high-security zone, with only one intention. And that intention was to spread fear and violence. On that note, she went on explaining how the MAGA mom, Therese Duke, also intended to spread violence. So, she punched her in the face, in an act of self-defense.

Therefore, that was when Smith clocked Duke in the face. “Every time I told her to stay away, she kept trying to take my mask off or take away my phone.” Smits also explained how she told the rowdy protester to stay away several times. But she failed to listen and kept entering into her personal area.
