A grieving mum was left absolutely shattered and heartbroken when the council ordered her to remove a set of personalized items that she had placed over her child’s grave recently.
29-year-old Emma Riley explains how the council ordered her and her usband to have the set of love hearts and angels removed from their daughter’s grave. As it is, the couple was finding it so difficult to come to terms with the death of their baby daughter. And this new order certainly didn’t make things any easier for the two of them either.
In addition, they were also informed to remove the small fence that they had both placed around the baby’s grave. This was little Ebony’s final resting destination and the couple did their level best at customizing it in a matter that they felt she would have loved. Unfortunately, the council thought otherwise.
Moreover, the respective authorities mentioned how they needed to maintain both dignities as well as respect by removing all the items. As far as the fence was concerned, they felt it had plenty of health as well as safety concerns attached to it. For this reason, it had to go too, alongside the other things.
According to reports, little Ebony was stillborn and that was a bitter reality that her mum and dad had to swallow. Hence, they chose to place little tributes for their precious bundle of joy who no longer existed in this world. The couple claims they visit her grave which is located at the cemetery in Selby in North Yorks.
The couple claims that removing the personalized items was not an easy task for them either. Each item had its own sentimental value attached to it and now, it forces them to relive their daughter’s death, all over again.
