A grandmom of 3 children reveals how she lowered her age preference to 19, just so she could find love on Tinder.
According to sources, the online dating platform is where she also found her 22-year-old fiance. And now, she claims that they’re madly in love and ready to get married.
50-year-old Sharon Hawkins met her 22-year-old fiance Perry Hopstein via the dating application. She gives full credit to herself for lowering her age liking to 19. Despite the massive 28 year age gap and plenty of comments from critics. the pair is all set to tie the knot.
But that doesn’t mean the words of others don’t bother them. Yes, it’s not often that people mistook her as Perry’s mom, thanks to the controversy surrounding their age gap. However, putting all the negativity to the side, the pair is going to get married this year and they simply couldn’t be happier.
Sharon works as a secondary school teacher in North Carolina. No matter what, she does her level best at ignoring critics across the board. “I may be old enough to be Perry’s mum, but I never let that stop me from chasing my happiness.”
In addition, the grandmom from North Carolina mentions how she and her partner know that they’re meant to be together. Hence, they don’t care about what other people think.
Sharon also revealed how she ended her marriage with a divorce in 2015 due to irreconcilable differences with her husband. And ever since then, she was on the hunt for love. At first, the grandmom says her ex-husband was so great. However, during the last year of the couple’s relationship, she found herself staring at young men in their 20s, whenever the pair went out on dates.
And from that day onwards, she thought it would be a good idea for her to find someone who was more suitable to her liking and spontaneous personality. As far as Perry is concerned. Sharon explained how she scanned his profile and found him to be 28 years younger than her. But that didn’t make any difference.
For her, the piercing blue eyes, muscular physique, and brown hair were enough of an attraction to go out. And from there onwards, the pair never looked back.
