A GoFundMe page that was initially set up to help out a single mum in need has raised $80,000.
News reports confirmed how the mum was arrested on charges for leaving her young kids at home alone so she could make a living. 24 year old Shaina Bell was charged for allegedly leaving her two young kids in a motel room, all by themselves.
And that was as she headed towards her latest work shift at the Little Caesars.
Shaina explained how the ongoing pandemic put great stress upon many struggling parents like her due to school closures as well as a lack of child care options.
For that reason, many who heard her story felt sorry for her. Therefore, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that many sympathized with her, explaining how they wanted to lend in a helping hand to ease her misery.
Shaina was arrested while she was at her workplace on the 11th of February.
And that’s when cops escorted her towards Turnbull County Jail. Her charges included endangering children as well as a first degree misdemeanor. And that carries the potential for a maximal jail sentence of around six months. At the same time, it comes with fines mounting up to $1000 too.
While Shaina was allowed to leave the very next day, both she and the kids are currently in need of an immediate housing facility.
For that reason, a GoFundMe page was recently set up to help her out, created by her mum Danielle Hosey. She was notified that there were many people out there that were willing to help out her daughter as well as grandkids.
All the funds raised will go towards creating a safe as well as permanent house for the young and struggling family.
