A 4-year-old girl was recently mauled by her own family dog in Texas, which led to her tragic death.
Elayah Brown was brutally attacked in her own backyard on Friday, confirmed by local media outlets. The shocking incident took place in Texas’s South Forth Worth, leaving loved ones devastated beyond belief.
The dog who carried out the horrifying attack was described by the family as a mixed breed. He recently underwent the process of euthanization on Saturday by the state’s Worth Animal Care and Control.
Sources close to the family mentioned how the dog carried out the attack at about 5 pm in the afternoon.
The young child died from her own injuries, just one hour later, after she was rushed to the nearby Cook’s Children Medical Center as mentioned in the district’s medical examiner’s office. Sources are yet to confirm the exact breed of the dog.
The dog was immediately shifted by the family to the Forth Worth Animal Care and Control Center, where a spokesperson for the institution explained how it was currently being monitored for its history as well as its behavior.
Keeping in mind the nature of the vicious attack, the dog will undergo comprehensive examination and evaluation to see what really aggravated him to respond in such a bizarre manner, mentioned local reports.
And whenever a dog is involved in such an act, it’s best to euthanize it as that is in the best interest of the family as well as the dog, and the community as a whole mentioned experts.
Meanwhile, loved ones mourned the tragic death of a girl they called the light of every room. She was a precious and gentle soul whose presence lit up everyone’s face, explained her mother. “My beautiful child was so bright and inspiring. Our family is deeply saddened and devastated by the incident,” she added.
