A couple from Texas received capital murder charges after forcing their daughter to jump non-stop in 110 degree heat.
Little Jailyn died from dehydration after her legal guardians gave her a brutal punishment. According to reports, they forced the 8-year-old to jump upon a trampoline, in a non-stop manner. Despite the scorching 110 degree weather conditions, they paid no heed. And in the end, she died.
After finding out the harrowing news, cops took 44-year-old Daniel Schwarz and his 34-year-old wife, Ashley Schwarz into their custody.
This was exactly seven weeks from when the tragic incident took place in Odessa.
Meanwhile, the exact incident took place last August, when cops arrived to the Schwarz residence. This is where little Jailyn stayed. While the Texas couple weren’t her biological parents, they were her legal guardians. Moreover, as police officers stormed the house, they found the 8-year-old dead upon the scene. And that’s when they immediately started off an investigation and detailed inquiry into the matter. Last Monday, Odessa’s police department announced how they ended their probe into little Jailyn’s death.
The legal guardians received capital murder charges for their heinous crime. At the same time, a recent press release by the state department claims how the investigation process discovered some more shocking findings. They revealed how Jailyn died after her parents forced her to jump non-stop from a trampoline, as a form of ‘punishment.’
Moreover, the sad statement further went on stating how she was not allowed to eat her breakfast. She had to jump non-stop without any breaks in between. And the period was extended for a very long time.
On the specific day of her death, the temperatures rose to a massive 110 degrees. And investigators believe that the actual temperature over the ground, at the time of her death, could be around 150 degrees or more. The autopsy report revealed how the poor soul died due to dehydration.
A spokesperson from the police department refused to comment on whether the couple was the child’s foster parents. They also didn’t reveal whether or not there were any other kids under their care.
