Eagle-eyed fans spotted some changes made to the new set created for Friend’s anticipated reunion.
Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courtney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt Le Blanc (Joey), Matthew Perry (Chandler), and David Schwimmer (Ross) are set to reunite once again for the first time in 17 years!
Greg Grande, the set designer who created the original Central Perk and Monica’s apartment back in the 90s shared a sneak peek of the upcoming new set on Instagram.
In a now-deleted post, Grande shared a snap of Monica’s iconic New York City apartment.
“Sssh! Somethings happening, deja vu… coming alive once again! #friends #monicasapt #friendsreunion,” with a red heart emoji,” the caption reads.
The apartment featured some of its most recognizable stuff like the purple walls, the orange armchair, and the turquoise kitchen.
However, some fans noticed many changes to the iconic living room.
In the original set, the flowers can be seen on the windowsill and on top of the fridge in the kitchen, while in the new set, there are no flowers.
“Where are the flowers?” one fan commented.
“Very observant, bc I was thinking the same thing,” another fan said in the comments. “Also noticing a few small ‘updates’ such as the square lamp shade.”
Another change the fans spotted is that the rug in the living room is different. Despite it being very similar to the original, they quickly noticed it was not the same.
“I wonder what happened to the original rug?” another fan said.
The furniture seems to be different as well instead of the patchwork cushions on the long sofa, there are now orange ones on the white settee.
Fans also noticed that the curtains are replaced compared to the original floral drapes. There is also a new mirror by the bathroom door.
“I studied this set so much, I feel like I can play a game of I spy and tell you what’s different lol,” another fan commented.
