Florida Governor DeSantis extends the executive order of ban on local governments enforcing mask mandate.
A few days before, a bipartisan group of mayors organized a meeting requesting the government to enforce mask mandate across the state. Despite the worsening health care system Ron DeSantis issued an order for extension in the ban on mask mandate order. Mask mandate is considered the most effective and feasible solution for the sky-high covid-19 rate across the world.
In September, DeSantis signed an order that inhibits local authorities from imposing a fine on citizens wandering outdoors without wearing masks.
The relaxation enforcement plan also allowed salons, bars, and restaurants to reopen at full capacity leading the state to be slammed by the second wave of covid-19.
The total number of casualties due to coronavirus reached 260000 nationally, leading other countries to learn a lesson and implement stricter safety measures.DeSantis imposed a ban on a local bar in his county for allowing a massive crowd of maskless partygoers.

On Wednesday, DeSantis communicated to the public via a video message announcing vaccine breakthroughs. He didn’t comment on his widely challenged decision of extension in mask enforcement ban.“We need to redouble our efforts to safeguard the lives of thousands of Floridians till the vaccine is deployed,” he said.
The decision received colossal criticism from the public and local governing bodies. “DeSantis continues to make it more and more difficult for us to keep the community safe,” someone wrote.
“When the whole world is enforcing mask orders, our governor is blocking local actions. This is frustrating!” wrote another
