In one of the most gutwrenching news ever, siblings from North Carolina lost their lives in the horrifying aftermath of the recent flash floods.
The bodies of a 4-year-old body and his 5-year-old sister have swept away, while they were in their mother’s vehicle.
Meanwhile, rescue crews reported how they recovered their bodies, during the massive search operation, post-North Carolina’s flash flooding incident.
The severe nature of the floods washed their bodies away, earlier this week.
On the other hand, police authorities confirmed how they discovered Abraham Martinez Jr’s dead body near a creek.In particular, they referenced the location as near to the Neuse River.
And that’s just 12 hours after they found his sister dead. She was identified as Alexa Castro.Countless volunteers took part in the massive search and rescue operation that aimed to find the missing children. Searchers also formed a giant prayer circle, after discovering little Alexa’s body.
The locality’s sheriff, Mr. Bizzell added how emotional the entire rescue operation became, after receiving the tragic news of their deaths. He went on to express his condolences to the affected family. ‘It must be so hard for the parents to receive the tragic news. The hurt and devastation are just too much for anyone to bear,’ he claimed. ‘It’s also been a very tough ordeal for me.’
Likewise, the sheriff hoped that the family could find some sort of closure, after learning about the entire incident. ‘We can find great comfort in knowing that the little angels are in a better place,’ he said.
After discovering little Alexa’s body, around 4:30 pm on Wednesday afternoon, rescue officers continued to search for her brother.
And that meant scouring the area by land, air, and sea.
When asked to comment on the entire incident, the father responded by saying that his only goal right now is to find his son. Unfortunately, he didn’t know that all he would find was his dead body.
