In the UK, a father was savagely beaten by a group of bullies after he tried to save his 11-year-old son against them.
On Easter Sunday, Alan Willson, 46, ran from his home in Worthing, West Sussex to a nearby park when he heard that thugs were throwing his son to the floor.
But when Alan tried to stop them, he was knocked out when his head was hit by an object while his horrified son watched him being beaten.
Alan suffered broken bones, fractures to his spine, lung trauma, and had brain surgery in Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton. He is now in a coma fighting for his life.
Five underaged teenagers have been arrested for attempted murder and serious bodily harm with intent. Four of them were arrested the same day and the other was arrested the next day.
However, all five have been since been bailed under ‘strict conditions’. They were not allowed to see each other and curfews are included in the list.
Alan —who’s care home worker— is currently in a coma, and his family is terrified that he may wake up with severe brain damage, The Sun reported.
His wife Annie, 49, said her husband is ‘fighting for his life after brain surgery for multiple bleeds on the brain’.
Annie said in a social media post that her husband is the kindest man in the world, adding that their 11-year-old son was left traumatized by the incident.
Alan’s daughter Becky, 29, wrote a heartbreaking post about her father.
“I just wish I could just see you dad and tell you it’s going to be okay,” Becky wrote. “Please dad fight for your f****** life you are such a strong, caring man who has brought us, kids, up and loved us like we are your own.”
“You have so much life left to live and a granddaughter who needs to grow up with her nan-dad,” she wrote. “I wish I could just hold your hand but unfortunately Covid has decided that for us.”
“You can do this dad.”
