Woman’s Tragic Farewell Note Gets Posted A Day After She Jumps In Hudson Yards


A 24-year-old woman from Brooklyn jumped to her death, just a day before the posting of her tragic suicide note.

According to media sources, the woman took a terrifying leap from The Vessel in the famous Hudson Yards. Meanwhile, the gut-wrenching note appeared on her Instagram account, where she bid farewell. Unfortunately, it appeared online, a day after she committed suicide.

Yocheved Gourarie wrote in her post, “If you’re reading this right now, I’m gone.” The young woman scheduled her account in such a way that it would run the note, a day after her tragic death.

In the same way, the heartbreaking message also mentioned how her loved ones would be in comfort now, knowing that she’s not in pain anymore. On Tuesday, Gourarie who resides in Crown Heights rode the subway towards Manhattan. There, she bought a ticket for the famous tourist attraction, known as ‘The Vessel.’

Upon reaching the structure’s highest level, Gourarie climbed up on the railing, and then abruptly jumped, claimed police sources. They also added how the young woman chronicled all of her struggles against anxiety and depression online.

EMS who responded to the urgent 911 call for help pronounced Gourarie dead at the gruesome scene.

Her modern-day suicide note was full of wry humor, some notes of depression, and plenty of gratitude too. It was very clear how the 24-year-old deliberately scheduled her last Instagram message. This way, it would be posted the next day.

“In case you don’t know by now, you might want to sit down,” she wrote. “If you are reading this, I’m gone. Either that or somehow incapacitated in the hospital so I can’t delete this scheduled post. I really hope I’m not though.”
