A former secret service agent is going viral after revealing details about her shocking findings regarding the absurd abuse that was faced by former First Lady of the US, Michelle Obama.
“They could literally go about saying whatever they felt like, as long as they were no immediate threats of harm,” explained Evy Poumpouras regarding the immense amount of racism that was directly aimed towards Michelle Obama as a former first lady.
Working as a secret service agent enabled her to gather inside information and relate the shocking findings of the behavior that Michelle had to go through and according to Evy, it was pretty nasty, to say the least.
Evy also added how frustrated and upset she used to be because she was just Michelle Obama’s protector and hence there was very little if anything that she could do about it all.
“I just couldn’t do anything,” Evy was quoted saying in a recent article that was published on Wednesday.
“While there may be freedom of speech in the US, and even if there are days that I personally feel that the speech is actually wrong, then remember that the law just didn’t give me the authority to take any person’s speech away.
”
“Anyone was free to call her names,” the former secret service agent revealed.
The news is a part of Evy’s new memoir for the former First Lady titled, ‘Becoming Bulletproof.’ Here is where she spoke about how Michelle withstood the test of time with sheer grace and elegance.
“She was the first-ever Black first lady that had to go through so much disparagement that not even one of her predecessors witnessed.”
One particular incident that Evy recalled was how their vehicle passed by a bridge near a school, where the former first lady was supposed to deliver her speech.
There is where one individual held an extremely rude and racist sign that was aimed at Michelle.
The whole episode made Evy so furious because she felt it was her duty to protect the first family but again, very little could be done about it.
