Dominic West and aristocratic wife Catherine FitzGerald surprised paparazzi as they passionately kiss in front of the cameras.
The bizarre display of affection comes after West was spotted having an intimate moment with young actress Lily James in Rome.
After suffering humiliation after pictures of West and James passionately kissing and cuddling went public, FitzGerald stepped out of their marital home with her husband by her side.
She then purposely raised her head and kissed West, smiled for the cameras, and then handed out a piece of paper that wrote, “Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together.”
The public display to prove commitment to each other falls short to those who witnessed it, as others saw how FitzGerald seem uncomfortable, while she seemed to hide her ring finger in her pocket.
However, West had a rather smug look on his face, and made sure the cameras captured that he is still not wearing his wedding ring.
He also wore the same outfit he was wearing the day he was on a romantic break with James, with an addition to a brown jacket.
West returned home on Monday night, and reportedly had a showdown with his wife of 10 years, as FitzGerald believed their marriage had only been blindsided by the scandalous pictures.
He also refused to answer all of the questions thrown at him about what happened in Italy.
Just hours before the display, a friend of FitzGerald revealed how “heartbroken, shocked and devastated” she was after seeing pictures of West in a locked embrace with James while not wearing his wedding ring.
The friend also shared how she consoled FitzGerald, as she wept and believed that she and West had a “good marriage.”
James has not yet been seen since, nor has she released a statement to clarify the matter.
