Prince Harry made groundbreaking revelations in a new series of interviews alongside host Oprah Winfrey.
The Duke of Sussex revealed shocking details about his personal life and his mother’s past that not too many people saw coming. The interview was a part of the Prince’s Apple TV show titled ‘The Me You Can’t See.’
Here, Harry talks about his mother’s tragic and mysterious death, speaking about how she was literally chased to her own death when she was in a relationship with a person who was not white. In the same way, he shed light upon how history was repeating itself.
Princess Diana died in the year 1997 with her then Egyptian boyfriend and film producer Dodi Al-Fayed. She was reportedly dating him for a few months.
In the past, a jury heard how the Princess died with her partner due to extremely negligent driving by the driver Henri Paul. They also revealed how he was more than 3 times the limit for drunk driving too.
In the same way, the inquest jury went about signaling how the paparazzi’s speed had been reckless as well as their mode of driving which could have potentially added to the accident.
Meanwhile, the jury went about shedding light on how both Diana and Fayed may have survived the major accident if they wore seatbelts.
But from their statements, they didn’t hint at statements that would lead anyone to believe that they were chased to their death. However, Harry says that he saw many similar parallels in his own life story and his mother’s. “I also followed by mother’s footsteps and began dating a person of color,” he claims.
“They chased my mother to death while she was in love with someones who was not white. And now look what has happened. If you wish to talk about history going about and repeating itself, they will not stop until she dies,” the Prince added.
Harry also revealed how he wished he had raised his voice over racism before but now, he boldly claims that he wouldn’t accept it any longer.
