A trans dad is going viral after an image of him breastfeeding his own son was shared online with viewers from around the globe.
Referring to it as the ideal story of great love and acceptance, many couldn’t help but share the click that had plenty of people in awe. Moreover, many referred to it as a celebration of an image that perfectly displayed a modern family.
In 2011, Evan Hempel alongside his partner decided to get off testosterone so that he could carry their child.
According to a report by People Magazine, Hempel always imagined carrying his child, even after he transitioned into a male.

After years of struggles and several attempts at artificial insemination that used donor sperm, he finally managed to give birth to a beautiful baby boy in the spring of 2016.
In the interview, the trans dad’s sister spoke about how bravely Hempel behaved in making the decision to carry his child and then coming to the realization that he was now a father to a child that he delivered himself.
Today, Hempel looks back and calls it an absolute gamble. “I just didn’t know how I felt, but it turns out that I just felt like this is something so fascinating. I just couldn’t come to terms with how amazed I felt about my body in the end.”
For him, one of the toughest parts was going up to the human resources department and telling them how he was pregnant. “It’s not that I expected a negative reaction. I just had no idea about it at all.”
Surprised beyond belief, Hempel recalls how the representative was very supportive of the news and congratulated him immediately. She even added how the news was very unexpected but great at the same time.
