Police are now on the lookout for an individual who reportedly stabbed the manager of a famous Texas-based restaurant.
The shocking incident took place for the most senseless reason as the manager requested the customer to wear a face mask. On that note, the customer took the request too personally and hence went on stabbing the manager on several attempts. The famous restaurant was identified by cops as ‘Jack in the Box’ which is situated in the vicinity of League City in Texas.
The district’s police chief Gary Ratliff mentioned in a public statement of the entire incident was not only bizarre but very alarming. Moreover, he termed it to be a very polarizing situation too. “Some folks don’t believe that there should be masks and others do,” he exclaimed.
53-year-old James Schulz entered the restaurant on Wednesday night, where was reportedly not donning a face mask. On that note, the restaurant’s manager requested him to wear one so that he could be served at the drive-thru. But the news didn’t go down too well as he ‘belligerently refused.’
In addition, the customer also went ahead and accused the restaurant’s management of failing to serve him food since he was homeless. But that was far from the truth. He didn’t wear a face mask and that is what began the entire dilemma in the first place.
When the manager’s back was towards him, James Schulz ran behind him and tackled him. And that is also when he brutally stabbed him, multiple times. Cops revealed how the wounds showed how brutal the crime was.
The manager’s arms and torso were covered with blood, in what appears to be stabbing using a pocketknife.
As soon as the incident took place, the restaurant’s staff rushed to the manager’s side to provide first aid but they were unable to get a hold of Schulz who ran away on a bicycle. The manager was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was treated for his wounds and then released.
Currently, police are still on the hunt for Schulz, referring to him as a transient that resides in the area.
