An unidentified woman at Skechers store got aggressive as she was asked to wear a mask by the staff.
One employee named ‘Myah Joycelynn’ posted a video on social media narrating the whole story.
David Holt, Oklahoma City’s mayor, has recently announced new orders for a private business that permits them to ask their customers to wear a mask before entering the store. He also says these are the new rights of businesses and they will be protected by the law.
The 56-year old lady was requested to wear a mask multiple times by the store management and staff but she ignored them completely. However, she lost her cool at one point and started throwing shoeboxes at the staff and also hit one on their neck.
The customer was suggested by one employee to purchase a mask from Lowe’s before entering the store. The unknown woman left her wallet and driving license at the payment check out as she was a little tipped over the edge by the scenario.
The police identified her easily owing to her driving license details as the store gave her stuff to them. The internet is swarmed by the video and details uploaded by one of Skechers’ employees.
People are calling for accountability of what happened and believe the retail workers should be treated better. The lady is now known as ‘Sketchers Karen’ on the internet. Myah Joycelynn asked everyone to share the video to make her popular so she is embarrassed by her actions.

Though ‘Karen’ is not her original name, however, it seems like this is used as a term for everyone who turns aggressive physically as one user wrote on Twitter, “This is, everything is dumbed down to Karen now, this is straight-up abuse at a workplace because she is not getting some Skechers, it is not funny or a meme.
