World’s most popular footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is in quarantine at his Madeira home after his Juventus teammate was tested positive for COVID-19, coronavirus.
Coronavirus is going out of control and even the celebrities and athletics are getting infected with it. Just today the actor Tom Hanks and his wife were tested positive and the news took the internet by storm as the fans were heartbroken.
And just now, Daniele Rugani, who plays as a center back for Serie A club Juventus and the Italy national team has also tested positive. Ronaldo flew to Portugal to visit his hospitalized mother who as of late endured a stroke before the news at first broke.
Not only just Ronaldo, but everyone who had been in contact with Rugani on both sides has now required to be in isolation and avoid any sort of social contact before getting tested.
The administration is hoping that the spread is limited as Rugani stayed an unused substitute for Maurizio Sarri during the match.
The Portuguese press put the story over their front pages displaying a photo of Ronaldo with the text “Ronaldo de Quarentena”.
Every single game in Italy has been postponed until April 3, although Juventus are planned to face Lyon in the Champions League next Tuesday. After the news about Rugani tested positive broke out, that game is also expected to be canceled by UEFA.
Meanwhile, Rugani took to twitter and wrote, “You will have read the news and that’s why I want to reassure all those who are worrying about me, I’m fine. ‘I urge everyone to respect the rules because this virus makes no distinctions! Let’s do it for ourselves, for our loved ones and for those around us.”
Rugani is the second athlete to test positive, with Hannover 96 defender Timo Hubers currently in quarantine.
Please stay safe everyone and let’s pray for the speedy recovery of everyone infected with this virus.
