Congress Vows To Reach Deal On ‘New’ $908B COVID-19 Aid After Months Of Gridlock


US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced on Friday how the Congress vowed to reach a deal regarding the Coronavirus relief plan.

At the same time, the House Speaker announced how members of Congress would not step out for Christmas holiday leave without coming to a final decision. The news comes as a surprise, following countless months of gridlock, which was led through and through by the Democrats.

During the weekly press conference, the House Speaker also informed reporters regarding her telephonic talks with Mitch McConnell, the Senate’s Majority Leader.point 255 |

Pelosi boldly exclaimed, ‘we’re making progress.’ On the other hand, she also explained how Congress will take the time it requires to get the job done. ‘We can’t leave without it,’ she mentioned.

The mega $908B Bipartisan COVID-19 stimulus proposal was unveiled last Monday by a group of frustrated lawmakers. Moreover, the group was bothered by the lack of any action regarding the relief package. Now, however, the same group received a mega stamp of approval from the House Speaker herself. And that’s when Pelosi went on to explain how this deal would serve as the ‘framework for more negotiations.’

To help avoid the possibility of the government’s partial shutdown, it is expected that the new aid wave would be tackled into a greater spending bill, before December 11th. When reporters questioned her during the Capitol Hill briefing regarding how this was different from the past, she boldly declared the following:

“It is the victory of Joe Biden. He is a President-Elect that supports science. Also, successful vaccine candidates are ‘total game-changers.’ The news comes in as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to record new highs, as the country approaches winter.
