Star model Christine McGuinness is going viral for serving up fish and chips to her kids as Christmas dinner.
Now, the celeb mum is explaining to fans and followers why she chose the unhealthy option on one of the most celebrated occasions in the year. And it stems from the fact that she’s not interested in waging food wars.
For those who may not know, Christine’s kids are autistic and that means she’s a parent to youngsters with plenty of food aversion. This limits her choices when it comes to her three kids, Penelope and Leo who are 7, and little Felicity who is 4.
Sharing the news with followers via a series of clicks through Snapchat, the star showed her glorious golden fried fish fingers with chips as sides. The snap was posted on Christmas day, coming with the caption, “Because Autism doesn’t stop for Christmas Day.”
Meanwhile, the star also accompanied those clicks with images of her and hubby Paddy’s more traditional holiday meal.
Christine didn’t hold back when it came to expressing how her kids like what they like.
Therefore, she certainly wants her children to eat and that’s why she needs to pick her battles carefully. And today is definitely not the occasion for a food fight.The model also gave out a valuable piece of information to others who might not support her decision.
She revealed how food aversion is very common among those with autism.
