CNN’s famous news anchor Chris Cuomo is in the line of fire for making inside jokes relating to color.
Cuomo continues to get bashed as many call his f****** offensive, right after joking how he was ‘black’ on the inside. Cuomo is the 50-year-old brother of New York’s governor, Andrew Cuomo. Moreover, he was quickly roasted, right after a clip went viral, after being shared on Friday.
Here, the news anchor was handed over to fellow CNN’s colleague Don Lemon, and that was right after he sang the 1970’s theme song for the television show ‘Good Times.’
Laughing in the most awkward of tones, making sure his eyes remained lowered, Lemon questioned his colleague on how he actually knew the words to the series. He put a particular reference on how the show was more or less about a black family that lived in a housing project in Chicago.
And on that note, Cuomo was quick to speak about how he was ‘black’ on the inside. While Lemon looked as if he intentionally skipped the comment on purpose, it was immediately picked up by the world of Twitter.
First to respond to the anchor’s comments was the managing editor for the Sister2Sister magazine, Aisha Staggers. Enraged with fury, she spoke about how black isn’t a mere costume.’ In the same way, many went as far as comparing Cuomo to his politician brother, Andrew Cuomo.
As it is, the New York governor is also in the line of fire for the long list of sexual allegations from former aides. Thereby, many citizens also want the governor to resign.
One viewer questioned if the Cuomo siblings were actually competing for the title of the ‘shi**iest Cuomo.’ On the other hand, another ripped Chris Cuomo by referring to him as a spoilt brat with entitled privileges. He believed that Chris is only on television because of his surname.
