Everyone has been fuming in rage after the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19, some countries are even thinking to sue China in international courts for their negligence and they are partly right in their approach.
China has kept the world in the dark for a fairly long time.
After Germany, USA and Britain, now Australia seems to be in hot waters with the Chinese. Australian government looks pretty serious about influencing WHO to send their investigative team to China to veil curtains on every single source that caused the global outbreak. They have been beseeching WHO to delve deep into the matter for a while.
Although Australia has been one of those few countries that managed to control the mass-spread in their territory, they are still not happy with the economic loss their country had to bear. Their whole country has been under a strict lockdown for a long duration, and now their economy seems to be falling apart at the seams.
For a number of understandable reasons, the Australian government is trying to probe an investigation into the whole matter, and therefore China seems to be deeply resented with them. They have disregarded the aspirations of The Lodge, and warned them against severe consequences.
Australia’s 3rd biggest export is education which is worth $30 billion, and China has its finger on the pulse of Australian economy. They know how to negotiate to make a fair deal. China has threatened Australia that they are going to stop their students and tourists from coming to Australia.
If the Chinese government actually does this, it could turn into another big crisis which Australian economy might not be able to linger on with. Hence, the Australian government gotta put on their thinking cap and come up with a prudent and politically expedient decision that serves their nation’s interest.
