“It’s Hard To Believe Derek Chuavin Meant To Kill George Floyd”- Brett Favre


Brett Favre recently gave out a bold statement that mentioned how he just couldn’t come to terms with the fact that Derek Chauvin actually intended to kill George Floyd.

The news comes after Derek Chauvin, the ex-cop from Minneapolis was found guilty of murdering George Floyd with a breakthrough verdict taking center stage in the country. Moreover, the decision was announced on Wednesday, after the jury spent less than 24 hours deliberating the verdict.

Brett Favre’s statement is undoubtedly a massive shock to plenty as he was the one who had recently urged all athletes to stay well away from the genre of politics. Therefore, for him as an NFL Hall of Fame star to make such a statement was beyond comprehensible to many.

“I am definitely not saying that I defend Derek Chauvin by any means. However, I do find it hard to believe that he actually intended on killing George Floyd,” Favre added. The statement was made on Brett Favre’s own podcast recently called, ‘Boiling with Favre.’

On the other hand, the 51-year-old sportsman also took the time out to respond to the heated argument that took place last week. This was when he was slammed for mentioning how the world of politics needs to be kept separate from the game of sports. This was right before he called players who took the knee for the Black Lives Matter Movement during the anthem as a ‘shame.’

“I am just giving my opinion. I am definitely not a racist, despite what many people might believe, and you always know that I am forever in for unity. But I definitely think there are much better ways of unifying the country and people than this,” he exclaimed.
