The legendary ‘Charlie Bit My Finger Video’ is gearing up for its final exit from YouTube, despite gaining a massive 880 million views over the years.
According to media reports, the video continues to shine as the world’s most viewed viral video of all time. But now, local media reports have confirmed how YouTube is going to remove it off the platform forever, right after it gets auctioned as an NFT, later on during the month.
The original family responsible for its creation includes the Davis-Carr who actually created the video themselves, not knowing about its massive success that would ensue afterward. Moreover, the family recently stated how it has full preparations in the swing to mark the mega 14th anniversary of its existence.
In the same way, they also spoke about how the lucky person that manages to win the auction will now be the video’s sole owner while holding full rights of ownership as well as the ability to recreate it in whatever manner they choose, using original stars too.
Recently, the family was seen writing, how the video garnered a massive response from over 880 million people that simply couldn’t get enough. And that’s how it ultimately gained viral stardom in such a short span of time, being likes, shared, and commented on around the globe.
For many, the video continues to hold a famous household name while others couldn’t even come to terms with the news. Nevertheless, fans and followers did express how it will continue to hold a special place in their hearts forever till eternity.
Harry, who was only three years old at the time while Charlie who was just one year old, never got a clue about how they would soon become massive stars through their own video. It was just the luck of their parents who suddenly got the idea to record the boys playing around. And that really paid off in the end.
