Captain Tom Of The WWII Raised £21 Million For The NHS Amid Coronavirus


In this utterly difficult time, we are overwhelmed to hear of the heroes that prove to be of some help to the people at the forefront fighting this deadly pandemic.

We should be acknowledging those who are making their contribution in the battle against the Coronavirus.

There’s one person who has been our hero for decades, and he had been put on this pedestal long, long ago. World war ll bestowed us with a number of brave hearts who fought in the name of the country and pledged to die for it. This time, it’s one of them to render financial help to those who need to outlast the Coronavirus.

Captain Tom Moore, who’s lived for almost a century, has once again stood up in solidarity with the combatants flying in the face of Coronavirus. He is going to be enlisted amongst those few people who did something on pragmatic grounds.

This 99 year old hero accomplished 100 laps of his Bedfordshire garden in the recent past which enticed people around the world into donating their money to his fundraising scheme. Nearly £21 million have already been collected and the number is expected to rise in days to come.

Captain Tom pledges to do 10 laps around his garden everyday from now on. He expects more money to roll in for his cause. He is not satisfied with what he has collected, he is yearning for an even bigger amount which he is going to donate to the NHS.

He believes that the country has given him more than he ever asked for, and now it’s his turn to give it back to the motherland. It ascertains that the spirit of serving the country is still alive in him, and in fact it has only matured over the course of time.

People from over 53 countries chipped in with their donations and that took mass-media by surprise. He became the centre of attention for global media after this act of benevolence. Every media outlet acknowledged his philanthropic spirit and lauded him every which way.
