Today marks the saddest day for Chris Evan fanatics as he confirms his resignation being Captain America forever.
The news of his quitting the role has been in circulation since long but the Knives Out actor never spoke of it firmly before now.
For a lot of people, just like is, the main force to watch Captain America was none but the actor himself. After the much anticipated yet saddening news, the turnout at the theaters for The Falcon has become irresolute now.
Last Friday, in The Graham Norton show, Evans was asked quite straightforward if his time of giving up on the character has yet come or not since he last movie suggested. The actor thought it was a good time to not revisit his role only to make one more movie.
He thinks he has done a great job and the role has entertained the entire world but now it should be left as it was as destiny has arrived.
From Chris Evans, the role has been passed over to Sam Wilson who does not have as traditional powers as the ex cap. The transfer is perceived as evoking grace and poise. The story, however, is supposed to be continued through Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+.
While expressing his emotions on this huge turn, the actor said it was not easy to say yes to the decision but it was not hard to quit it either. There are other projects he is working on right now after the success of Knives Out.
He is currently working on a mini television series called Defending Jacob. The series comprises 8 episodes in total with a theme on thrilling events. The play is an adaptation of the New York Times bestseller novel by William Landay.
Undoubtedly, the Marvel movies are not going to be the same anymore with the absence of Captain America.
