It was a motorist’s nightmare when a brand new Lamborghini, worth £200,000, was wrecked in a motorway crash, just 20 minutes after leaving the dealership.
The famous Lamborghini Huracan came to a startling halt, as it crashed into a motor van, after suffering a major mechanical fault. According to sources, the expensive vehicle was hit badly in the back by a van, on the M1 motorway junction yesterday.
The sparkling supercar lost all of its back wheel control, as the majority of its backside was crushed from the catastrophic and startling impact of the accident.
The incident is reported to have occurred in the afternoon, around 1 pm, across the southbound carriageway. The exact locations are fairly near to junction 40, situated close to Leeds, West Yorkshire.
West Yorkshire’s PC Richard Whiteley stated that the Lamborghini suddenly stopped in fast lane number 3, after suffering a sudden mechanical fault.
He went on to claim:
‘It’s only a car. But on this occasion, a 20-minute-old, brand-new Lamborghini that stopped due to mechanical failure in lane three then hit from behind by an innocent motorist.’
Another police spokesperson for the tragic incident went on making claims of how the van driver suffered minor head injuries, but thankfully, it is believed that it wasn’t of a severe kind.
The vehicle, Lamborghini Huracan, is a luxury and exclusive model from the Lamborghini family. It features the greatest expression of power, combined with the refinement of pure Italian handicraft. At the same time, the vehicle’s seamless built is tapered to achieve maximal speed by cutting through the air.
Huracan’s design features a spiky hexagonal outline, reminiscent of that of a carbon atom. And it is this unique symbolic representation that makes it stand far apart from all other models in the Lamborghini range.
